Being an Indigo: The Originals

Although being an Indigo is a very new age concept, it's also a very ancient concept.

The legend goes that the Native Americans prophesied that there would be a time that children of the Rainbow would come to Earth.  Their mission would be to restore the health of the planet and her people.

Now although I can't say they prophesied correctly, or that the new age is right -- a new being has arrived; But I can tell you from my experience what I've found.  Right now on this planet we see four different types of beings.  You might call them light workers, Indigos, and Crystals; and then everyone else.  I am calling them The Originals, The Warriors, and The Keepers; and those on their way.

Popularly the names reflect what psychics see as the aura of the person in question.  So the Indigo may be surrounded by the blue violet light of it's name.  The Crystal may be surrounded by a pure aura that is faceted like a Crystal, The light workers may fluctuate between yellow, green and blue, and everyone else would fall into the categories of the lower Chakra energies of red, orange, and yellow.  The problem with this is, it's another label.  A label that really tells us nothing of what these beings actually are.  This theory is also flawed, as it makes no mention of the ones before the "light workers" of the 60's.  You really didn't think they were the first did you? The larger wave of Originals
came starting in the late 50's but I assure you many thousands have been born at pivotal moments in human history.  Every time there has been a 100th monkey phenomenon it is the work of the Originals.

The first individuals and groups of individuals of these types of beings are the Originals.  They didn't just come to us born of the 50's, in fact, it started a lot earlier.  For our purposes today I'm only going to explore the generations of Originals within the last hundred years.  The First came with the turn of the century and coming of age in the 20's.  This era saw great changes in the way humans viewed one another.  Many more people at the time lived in prosperity and innovation than previous generations.  Telephones, automobiles and electricity were on the rise, people were happy and Jazz and art thrived.  People were expressing themselves differently, women were wearing knee length skirts and sported bobbed hair.  This group of Originals didn't only welcome in the era but carefully crafted it, making a sturdy foundation for what their children would create.

Let's fast-forward a little into the 40's.  These Originals were born to the before mentioned generations and would be the longest reining group of Originals.  This is mostly true because when they came into power, they also came into war.  They saw horrendous examples of humans under torture.  Many of them were subject to interment camps and the like.  Racism was an everyday thing. When they finally came into their powers of Originals they began the Civil Rights Movement.  Many of these Originals are still fighting for their causes today, many are names you would easily recognize.  Some even dominate the World Wide Web.  Although they brought great changes, and are still bringing great changes; they were not the most powerful group of Originals. It would be their prodigies that would set the pivotal points for the rest of us to grow on. This group of Originals deserve the titles of Elders, because to us that's what they have become.

Our most recent wave of Originals were coming of age in the 60's and 70's.  They would become the most powerful group of Originals -- and thanks to the baby boom the largest group!  As the flower children of the movement, they set forth a great desire, or wish if you will.  They spent a large amount time focusing as a group on a different type of citizen. Equal citizens, that enjoyed the same benefits as each other.  They dreamed of a beautiful world where everyone cared about the Earth; They sought to bring back simpler, awakened periods from history, and abolish the atrocities of what they perceived as their realities.  Peace. Love. Harmony.  That was their ultimate goal. Unfortunately the Originals of this era got very discouraged most of them falling out of the category after they realized "Anti-War Rallies" do not work.  This group of Originals ushered in the new era of "almost" equality.  It is because of them we now enjoy the right to vote and work regardless of our color or gender.  However, it wouldn't be until the 80's their power would be truly realized.

They brought forth the Warriors.
